Officially launched in 2006, this 10 year old lies at the heart of the Isle of Arran range and exudes all the honeyed richness we have come to associate with the island distillery.
Herbal, biscuity, hedgerow greenness and dried grass, like a long English summer's afternoon.
Sweet. Quite malty, digestive biscuits, followed by green fruits and Cox's apple peel.
Slightly bitter, maltiness.
I'm no whisky expert...but have been experimenting...and always come back to this. Sweet, smooth and fruity, balanced and dangerously drinkable...its my favourite whisky of all time so far...and for £40 a bottle...wow...!!
A summer dram. Fairly light and sweet, with rich freshly scrumped quality Granny Smith apple skin and core. Weak in the finish
I was on the island and decided to pop into distillery. I'm a bourbon drinker so not into smoke and peat. She said try the 10. Wow, liked this alot. Honey and vanilla then straight to apple. Really easy to drink sipper. Now I'm probably the last to comment on scotch as I steer clear of it but I'd say its a good beginners scotch.
Very good, drank with just ice. Long lasting flavour with toffee notes. Think I'll have another soon!
