Description

This limited release from Ardnamurchan is a vatting of peated and unpeated whisky matured entirely in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The Highland single malt Scotch was then bottled without chill filtration and is naturally coloured.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Rich dried fruit notes alongside bonfire smoke, with hazelnut praline.

Palate

Smokehouse, caramelised bacon, and smouldering bonfires, with sweet sherry character tying it together.

Finish

Lingering smoke, woody spices, and salted caramel.

Excellent Stuff this Ardnamurchan Sherry Cask

It’s sweet, smooth, lingers for a while and warming without any harshness and is a marvellous sipper and definitely worth the money. The Peated portion is hardly detectable and really does not need any drips of water as it’s fine as it is.

well put together dram

Really well made whisky . Would make a good choice for those just looking at getting into peated drams , as the peat is subtle. It's there and it's noticeable, but it's gentle and not at all medicinal like the big hitting Islay drams .
