    Single Malt

Ardmore 21 Year Old 1997 (batch 19/021) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)

A 21 year old Ardmore, independently bottled by the superb Gordon & MacPhail. Distilled in 1997, the Highlander rested in a single refill American hogshead for just over two decades before it was bottled in February 2019. 248 bottles were released at cask strength for the Connoisseurs Choice series, weighing in at 58.3% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Gentle full bodied smoke rises from the glass, with caramelised brown sugar and caramelised banana with a hint of oak char.

    Palate

Barbecued lemon, dried apricot and mixed herbs, with more of that rounded smokiness alongside nougat sweetness.

    Finish

Salted dark chocolate and earthy peat smoke with underripe sharp apple.
