Say hello to the 19th batch of Ardbeg single malt bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It's a 27 year old expression from the extraordinary Islay distillery - which is where Geert Bero, Ardbeg collector and proprietor of Hotel Bero's Ardbeg Bar, can be seen hanging out on the label!
Batch 19 is a release of 438 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Salted butter, earthy peat and cinnamon, with wafts of old leather and coastal air carrying through. Conference pear and a little honey add sweetness.
A hefty whack of peat and a hint of green chilli arrives, tempered by mature oak, toffee popcorn and soft hints of nectarine.
It simply goes on and on! Peat, tobacco, soft baking spices, cooked fruit - all for minutes afterwards!
