Ardbeg 15 Year Old 2004 (Release No.11673) - The Stories of Wind & Wave (The Character of Islay Whisky Company)

The Character of Islay Whisky Company has gone and made its own independent bottling range - The Stories of Wind & Wave! Expect some incredible Islay whiskies from this series, like... Oh, I don't know... How about a single cask Ardbeg?! That's what we've got right here. Single malt distilled by Ardbeg back in 2004, and matured in a refill bourbon barrel for 15 years before being bottled up at cask strength. Oodles of that characteristic Ardbeg smokiness to enjoy here, folks!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Smoked meats and charred oak, with lighter hints of fresh lemon giving it some pep.

    Palate

Ginger and black pepper, more meaty malt, a subtle minty hint underneath the salinity.

    Finish

Strong black tea, earthy vanilla and Liquorice Allsorts.
