    Product details

Ardbeg 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish (48.4%) (Darkness)

This awesome Ardbeg single malt joins the Darkness indie bottling range of intensely sherried whiskies. Matured for a dozen years, including a stay in Oloroso sherry casks, prepare for a mouthwatering tangle of sooty smoke and chocolate fruit notes with this one. If you're torn between choosing a classic peated Islay, or something heavily sherried, this will tick both boxes – problem solved!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Sweet, slightly floral tea with earthy embers, sultanas, and fresh sawdust.

    Palate

Plenty of smoke with a richly oily, mouthcoating texture. A good helping of coastal salinity creeps in, with notes of salted dark chocolate balancing vegetal brine beneath.

    Finish

Bold whisps of seaside bonfire, chocolate-coated peanuts, lingering prickles of peppery oak char.
