    Ardbeg 10 Year Old

A phenomenal whisky packing powerful peaty deliciousness, Ardbeg 10 Year Old is a favourite of many whisky lovers around the world. Produced on the Kildalton Coast of Islay, this single malt matures for a decade before being bottled without any chill-filtration. If you're after a whisky full of coastal air, smoke and more, this is exactly what you want.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

A ridge of vanilla leads to mountain of peat capped with citrus fruits and circled by clouds of sea spray.

    Palate

Sweet vanilla counterbalanced with lemon and lime followed by that surging Ardbeg smoke that we all know and love.

    Finish

Long and glorious; sea salted caramel and beach bonfire smoke.

    Overall

Precise balance, big smoke and non-chill filtered. This is why this is such a famous dram.

Huge flavor, tons of smoke and peat, a good time

Huge amounts of smoke and fire in the belly. A great whiskey to go with a mild cigar. It is less refined then the OG Lagavulin 16 - Ardbeg is a bit of a brute. Flavors are immediately in your face, and powerful. But man - it is great. And so worth it as a “budget” smoky, peaty, dram.

    ugh

smelled like charcoal and tasted like eating a piece of burnt dirt with the ending note of fire in the gut. burned in the mouth, in the throat, and in the stomach. flavors linger way to long --- id rather drink something that isnt painful

    A consistent classic.

A proper salty Jack Tar of a dram. Very, very consistent

    Well made but tastes foul

Powerful and complex, superbly balanced but I simply don't like drinking something that tastes like skin ointment - disgusting. I can imagine why people can admire it but I can't imagine why they derive pleasure from the taste. If you haven't tried peated whisky before then get a sample first not a full bottle.

    The beast smoke...

If laphroaig is an ashtray, this guy is a smoke pit after a bbq festival. If your in for the smokey ride this bad boy will deliver. One of my favorites.
