The Annandale distillery wanted to capture the Scottish spirit, so it created the Nation of Scots blended Scotch whisky. A particularly smoky expression, which ought to be particularly enjoyable on a chilly evening.
Creamy toffee, apricot yoghurt and wood smoke lead with touches of heather and vanilla in support.
Winter spice and treacle initially, with helpings of more wood smoke, barley and cereal underneath.
Hints of white pepper linger.

I'm not a whisky man myself, I purchase this particular brand for raffle prizes. I have yet to be asked don't buy it, and my friends who have won them have always been complimentary about it. They say that it is an exquisite dram and a taste to savour.
Annandale distillery is an absolute gem. My partner and I love the place and visit 2 or 3 times a month as we're only a 20 minute drive away. This is definitely my favourite blend, I agree with the previous review, it's pleasant but I would change undemanding for reliable. You just know you can pour a glass, and you'll enjoy it with whatever you're doing. A good price by MoM too. If you're ever at the distillery, they sell a cake made with this. Nation of Scots cake..if you know, you know!
A very pleasant and easy drinking blend, which suffers from not being 43% or 46% ABV as it does seem rather underpowered. No smoke on either the nose or the taste from the bottle I acquired, and not overly complex. Otherwise, very much lowland in character and a good 'session' whisky to enjoy with friends.
