Excellent unpeated single malt from the Annandale Distillery in the Lowlands region, distilled back in 2015. It was matured in a single ex-bourbon cask before being bottled up at full-on cask strength, and bestowed the name Man O'Words (whereas the peaty expressions from Annandale get given the name Man O'Sword, so you know what you're in for when you pour a glass).

Nose

Grapefruit, caramel, a touch of toasted teacake with butter.

Palate

Still has some lovely citrus notes around it, joined by floral honey and brown sugar.

Finish

Peppery malt and marzipan.
