Sherry

Distilled in 2017, this single malt from Annandale joins its Founders' Selection following maturation in a single sherry butt. It carries the Man O'Sword name, which tells us this is a peated whisky.
Toffee apple, golden syrup, prunes, sultanas, damp charcoal, flamed citrus.
Biscuity malt, charred herbs, and earthy nuts are joined by roasty notes of coffee and baking spices.
Fruit cake spice plus burnt edges, rich smoke, vanilla fudge, sticky dates, tobacco and warming nutmeg.

Beautiful whisky, had never heard of this before but by Chance visited the distillery for a tour. Slight exotic fruitiness, mild subtle smokiness and a hint of pepper on the aftertaste.
