A magnificent limited release from Amrut, celebrating ten years of the Indian distillery's iconic Fusion single malt. This expression sees the classic Amrut Fusion treated to an additional four years of maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks imparting glorious layers of dried fruit and spice that mingle beautifully with the robust barley and gentle peat. Housed in a porcelain bottle produced by none other than Wade Ceramics, and limited to only 1,010 bottles worldwide, this is a marvellous way to mark a rather special decade indeed for the distillery.
Tangy notes of juicy, tropical fruits with grilled pineapple and candied mango. Crushed nuts, flaky pastry, and salted caramel with rich, oaken depth.
The tropical notes continue, alongside heaps of dried baking fruits and spices. Creamy wafts of vanilla, salted almonds, and crumbly fudge soften underlying notes of menthol and earthen peat smoke.
