Distilled from barley grown at the North West of India. Amrut mature their single malt in New American Oak and ex-bourbon before bottling.
Intense barley and grain, nutty, citrus, apricot.
Barley, honey develops with allspice, apricot, rum.
Apples, apricot, greengages, malt, fruit.
Very interesting, multifaceted.

Sorry to be a whisky dick but I'm going to change my review from 3 stars to 4 stars.....After a week and a little more oxidation in the bottle this stuff has become perfectly delicious...... I'm the 'not bad but hardly great' guy..... on reflection this stuff is really rather nice...... needs a bit of water or ice to make it shine though.....but it really does shine....like a crazy tropical diamond...
It's not bad. Has a juicy and striking start but the finish is slightly dry. Has a cognacy side to it, but then I'm not the biggest fan of cognac. I feel the fruity flavours are a bit too much like candy flavours and lack finesse. Slightly overrated in my opinion.
Very very nice - liked this a lot - think it's going to be a regular in my cupbard!
Whats with the after taste like phenol, feels like you are in a hospital or toilet - yikes.
Complex but really smooth great after taste slightly on the sweeter side but cannot wait till tomorrow night when I will try again
