Fusion is a particularly apt name for this fantastic single malt whisky from Amrut. Y'see, it's made with barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland! Makes sense, right? Not just a clever name, it's also a cracking whisky, offering up generous helpings of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good whiff of smoke.
Rich, barley, fruity. Big on citrus, spices, creamy sweetness. A hint of peat.
Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate. Fruity.
Long, spiced, marmalade, sweetness.

This is a remarkably multi-faceted dram. The balance of creamy sweetness (I got fudge or Werthers' original), citrus (I got a hint of mandarin) with peat is just sublime. I think it's the kind of whisky that everyone will get something different from and in different strengths. For £50, this is one of the best whiskies you can buy in my humble opinion.
I was told to try this about a year ago, I never managed to find it. just got back from Goa, where I found a bottle for just under £22. What an awesome whiskey, it's up there with the best of them. A 5 star drink if ever there was one.
Just spent a month in India where this sells at 2300 rupees ( 29€) , this is a top whisky , complex with loads going on , with temperatures at 32° at 6pm an ice cube was added and this stuff deserves the name Amrut ( nectar of the gods) , smooth as Shiva's bum and with so many different flavours happening its hard to keep up.
Strong and smooth.
