Fusion is a particularly apt name for this fantastic single malt whisky from Amrut. Y'see, it's made with barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland! Makes sense, right? Not just a clever name, it's also a cracking whisky, offering up generous helpings of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good whiff of smoke.
Rich, barley, fruity. Big on citrus, spices, creamy sweetness. A hint of peat.
Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate. Fruity.
Long, spiced, marmalade, sweetness.

Good
Good dram. Subtle hint of peat. Smokey bacon? Maple? Oak too. Some spice/moss. It's a really good whisky at a very fair price. I like the peated single malt just that little bit more.
Try it with hot Bombay mix to completely open your taste buds. Bollywood songs in your mouth. Hints of goat cheese and Brie farmhouse cheese just before the peat kicks in and then a shudder of spices and sweet mineral taste as you would get on the plains of a hot summers punjabi barely field breeze. If you haven't been to another continent you have no idea if the heat and smell,, compared to most European cities .
