Fusion is a particularly apt name for this fantastic single malt whisky from Amrut. Y'see, it's made with barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland! Makes sense, right? Not just a clever name, it's also a cracking whisky, offering up generous helpings of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good whiff of smoke.
Rich, barley, fruity. Big on citrus, spices, creamy sweetness. A hint of peat.
Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate. Fruity.
Long, spiced, marmalade, sweetness.
if some people pay off the "Biblical author(s)", as Fusion tastes like a lot of artificial flavors in some OK scotch
I agree with the poster above about the Chemical taste. It doesn't make me think of whiskey at all. I don't know what to think.
Am actually not a whisky person but Amrut Fusion has been a revelation. Finished a bottle in no time!! Highly recommended.
This whisky has a remarkable - Fantastic nose. As good as any Scotch Whisky in it's class. Nutty and full of sweet dark sugar. On the palate is full on slightly peat blast, with a young spirit taste. Nothing offensive, actually great. The finish is long with heavy fruity overtones. All-in-all, a truly great single malt whisky. I recommend this to any good friend.
