Fusion is a particularly apt name for this fantastic single malt whisky from Amrut. Y'see, it's made with barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland! Makes sense, right? Not just a clever name, it's also a cracking whisky, offering up generous helpings of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good whiff of smoke.
Rich, barley, fruity. Big on citrus, spices, creamy sweetness. A hint of peat.
Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate. Fruity.
Long, spiced, marmalade, sweetness.

Not that gr8 as it is made out to be - Just wondering that the bottle was left in a parked car under the sun and was quite warm - saw some smoke coming out when opened - did the heat change the taste?
This has got to be one of the finest Whiskies produced anywhere in the World - beautifully balanced with a lovely flavour reminiscent of 20-30 year old products. Outstanding value for money, and at such low prices this can't be beaten.
At this price I will get glenfiddich!!! Indian doesn't mean I will spend unnecessary amounts for just passion.
I tried a glass in a pub and was blown away by the depth and complexity. It seemed to have everything, a combination of orange, coffee, chocolate, oak with a touch of smoke at the finish. It offered a depth which I've not experienced in a whisky that wasn't at least twice the price. But, the bottle i bought is completely different. It lacks all the above and offers a nutty, malty taste and that's all. Not actually that bad but no where near the quality of my first experience. Maybe a weak batch but as I don't have endless money I will not buy again. Shame.
Unbelievable stuff but the label looks like a Kindergarten class designed it. I bought this in for the bar I work in but the crappy label makes it a hard sell, except to the open-minded
