As part of its Monologue series, indie bottler Chapter 7 has released this glorious single cask from the Allt-á-Bhainne distillery. After distillation in 2008, this single malt was matured for eight years, and spent a finishing period in Islay whisky casks, before bottling in 2021, giving this Speysider an unusual little peaty, coastal tang! A total of 298 bottles were produced.
Apples, pears, and bananas. Floral honey and zesty lemon with a whiff of smoky sea breeze.
Butterscotch and ginger with sweet fruit and cakey spice, roasted chestnuts, and ever so subtle salinity.
Cinnamon and sweet spice, sugared orange, charred oak, and salted caramel.
