Port Finish

This right here is a single malt Scotch whisky from Orkney – the thing here is that we don't know which distillery on Orkney made it. What we do know is that it was distilled in 2003 and left to mature for 18 years, including a finish in a ruby Port cask. Following that, it was bottled by Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyers series, with 312 bottles produced.
Tinned peaches and brandied cherries, underpinned by salty smoke.
Continued fruit notes up front, this time with strawberries and red apples. Still savoury and smoky, though now hints of rosemary and charred oak have appeared.
Sea salt flakes and hints of chocolate.
