Alfred Giraud Voyage
After four generations, the Giraud family perfected the art of Cognac blending, and the fifth generation has embarked on a new journey, into the world of whisky! Voyage is the first in Alfred Giraud's Exploratory collection, blending French malt whiskies that have been treated to unusual cask finishes. Here we see a blend of single malt matured in sauternes wine casks, and single malt matured in French Robinia hardwood casks. The blend is married in Cognac casks before bottling, and displays a meticulous balance of sweet stewed fruit, bold wood, and florals.

Nose
Delicately floral notes of jasmine, flaky pastry, and honeyed sultanas, supported by creamy vanilla and vinous fruit.
Palate
More sweet honey joins layers of orchard blossom and a hint of woody rooibos tea. Bold spices build beneath, with silky butterscotch in tow.
Finish
Rich wood spice lingers, bolstered by a pinch of pepper and balanced by more sweet, floral malt.
