Romanian single malt from Carpathian here, aged in 53-gallon first-fill American white oak Kentucky bourbon barrels for three years before being transferred to 200L oak barrels that previously held the ancient Cyprian wine Commandaria. Sourced from Troodos Mountains of Cyprus, this sweet dessert wine has influenced the whisky to give notes of vanilla, raisin, fig and a little spice.
