Not just cracking at brewing up beers, those Adnams chaps folks are a dab-hand at distilling too! Their very own single malt whisky is made using 100% East Anglian malted barley and matured in new French oak casks for at least three years before being bottled.
Oak, bubblegum, apricot, moving onto vanilla, butterscotch, still quite fruity. After adding a drop of water there’s kirsch and, yep, runny honey. Red and black cherries develop alongside a hint of red chilli and, increasingly, red rope liquorice.
Pepper and more bubblegum, white orchard fruit notes and blueberry, hint of cookie dough.
More sweeties, a little spicy caramel and the cracked outsides of Smarties (but not the chocolate bit - that's to be found in the Triple Grain!), fruitiness lingers too.

Beautiful fusion of sweet and spicy. Tinned peaches drenched in honey, with a sprinkling of chilli. Not perhaps the most sophisticated or complex whisky you'll ever taste, but great fun and very, very more-ish.
