Adnams 8 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
English single malt from Adnams, initially matured in second-fill French oak, it finished its eight-year maturation in an Islay whisky cask. The sweet, fruity malt has adopted characterful layers of smouldering peat from the cask, making it a perfect fit for That Boutique-y Whisky Company's World of Smoke series!
Batch 2 is a release of 523 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Thick toffee, burnt fruit cake, and runny honey, with sweetly fragrant oak, floral redbush tea, and a murmur of barbecue smoke off in the distance.
Palate
Sweet, softly smoky barbecue sauce, chocolate nuts, and dense caramel open the way for a touch of hickory, cinnamon, and peppery heat.
Finish
Stewed berries nestle beneath woody spice, with cracked peppercorn warmth picking up for the finish alongside malty ale, charred oak, and a smidge of peat smoke.
