The second release of The Winter Queen from Adelphi. Part of the Fusion range (alongside The Glover and The E&K), this is a blended malt combining malt whisky from Scotland as well as from The Netherlands! It was named after Elizabeth Stuart, Queen of Bohemia.
Heavy sherry influence of chocolate and coffee, with underlying red apple and dried oak.
Earthy vanilla dominates at first, but soon enough sultana and raisin notes develop. A punchy kick of clove and meaty malt underneath it all.
Salted butter, cassia bark, more sherry.
