Bourbon
Another release in A. D. Rattray's wonderful Cask Collection, this Glenburgie was distilled in September 2008. The Speysider then spent the next decade in a single bourbon hogshead, until it was cracked open in March 2019. The cask yielded 307 bottles at cask strength, 59.8% ABV.
Vanilla custard, caramelised brown sugar, whipped cream and creamy toffee.
Caramel digestives, marzipan, caramelised nuts and candied lemon.
Porridge with a good sprinkle of brown sugar, keylime pie and more malty notes.
