Single cask single malt from the Glen Spey distillery, independently bottled by the folks from A.D. Rattray. This one aged in a sherry butt for 20 years, from December 1997 to September 2018, and was bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 556 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery barley, chocolate chip muffin, sugarcane and cinnamon sticks.
Palate
Brown sugar and chewy dates, with a nutty edge. Lingering cinnamon, now paired with a hint of nutmeg.
Finish
Almond flakes, honeyed cereal, plum and good chocolate cake.
