This is the 9th batch of Casg Annamh from Speyside's Aberlour distillery. The name means "rare cask" in Gaelic and this flavourful expression spent its time maturing in a combo of American oak and sherry casks, offering up rich layers of aromatic spice, fruit cake, and dark chocolate.
Milky coffee, flame raisins and plenty of honeyed malt.
Golden Grahams, nectarines, cinnamon and strawberry jam.
Cooking spices, sugary biscuits and red apples.

Takes the best selling A'bunadh whisky and improves it by making it balanced and perfect.
This isn’t even half as good as the 12 year old you can get in Tesco for £28-35. So rough, it needs a full ice cube to make it palatable, and you have to wait until that has melted. Avoid.
It's rare smell.of hibiscus in room temperature and one small drop of water. In nose, palate and in finish, incredible smell of creamy nut.Perfect
Horses for courses! If you gave this to someone who hadn't tried single malt whisky before I'm sure they would be back for more. Not the greatest whisky you will ever taste - but it ain't half bad after a wet and windy Scottish summer's day!
Excellent! Just a touch of water to soften this 96 proof beauty opens up all of the flavors. Honey, dark chocolate, bananas, tobacco, and cinnamon with a long warm finish. I loved it. Gonna go buy another bottle.
