Aberlour Casg Annamh #4 Bottling Note

The Casg Annamh series from Aberlour takes its name from the Gaelic for "rare cask", and a trio of casks are used to create the expressions - European oak sherry casks and two types of American oak cask. The result is brimming with toffee and dried fruit, alongside a generous handful of kitchen spices. This is the fourth batch from the series, delivering yet more Speyside single malt tastiness.

Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 4 Reviews

Salted Caramel Sensation.

Wonderful salted caramel beauty. An easier going version of the A'Bunadh. I really need to get a few more before they move on to the next batch.

Toffee in a glass.

Smooth, sophisticated and satisfying.

Of all the Aberlour whiskeys this is my favourite. The star rating is dragged down by one barbarian who actually thinks putting ice in a highland malt is acceptable behaviour. May I suggest you delete that half-star “Grim” rating?

Fantastic Whisky - Having tried Batch 1, this is even better!

Have tried batch 1 before, and love the 12. This is such a nice dram! My wife and I both really enjoyed this release.

Smooth and really tasty with the hints of spice and red wine. I know it's subjective, but I don't understand the negative reviews, this was just fantastic.

VASTLY superior to A'bunadh

Takes the best selling A'bunadh whisky and improves it by making it balanced and perfect.

Grim

This isn’t even half as good as the 12 year old you can get in Tesco for £28-35. So rough, it needs a full ice cube to make it palatable, and you have to wait until that has melted. Avoid.

Wonderfull taste while hearing classical music

It's rare smell.of hibiscus in room temperature and one small drop of water.
In nose, palate and in finish, incredible smell of creamy nut.Perfect

Horses For Courses

Horses for courses! If you gave this to someone who hadn't tried single malt whisky before I'm sure they would be back for more. Not the greatest whisky you will ever taste - but it ain't half bad after a wet and windy Scottish summer's day!
