It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

was undecided last review but promised a better one later , well what a hidden gem this whiskey is at first I struggled to come to terms with however with a third of cold spring water or indeed a chunk of ice on top of a splash of spring water this becomes the smoothest whiskey I have had , it really is one to stoke the fire with this Christmas but I would advise not having the bottle too far away to save getting up too often , get some more master of malt this is lovely !! All the good stuff here, but it's a rather young whisky so lacking some finess. Still excellent stuff
wow ! this is powerful yet enticing . I do personally with my young whiskey palate find I difficult to overcome the abv even with water but ironically I prefer only little water added to keep it's character of a creamy full bodied whiskey . it's my first cask strength and totally different from your standard malt so the jury is still out on this for me so I will make another review after I've finished the bottle ! nice yet spicier than I thought so far and considering I bought two bottles , it will get a fair trial . hence six in this instance as I also have an unfinished double cask mmm
This is by far the best whisky I have tasted. Drink it neat and it will reward you grandly.
A fantastic drink, equalling the batch 47, drink it neat, first sip numbs, second is beautiful taste
