It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

Dependant, on which frame of mood you are in. This batch. Is still "The nectar of the Gods" Be it flush or skint? This amount of flavours and aftertaste cannot be replicated without witchcraft? Or is easily achieved by any Speyside malt. Macallan fan says "YEH". At same price or more. A fantastic Malt with correct sniff and a smooth palette With an after taste that has already cried for MORE!
It's not as good as early batches but still one of my favorites.
I'm not going to give a bad review because of the the (over)price(d), but i'll review the whisky in the bottle.... Great whisky, sweet, warm, complex, full flavoured and as good as previous batches I've had. Needs a bit of water to get best from it in my opinion.
A Nice Draught It warms my throat and makes me able to live longer. The price is just fine. I love it ♪. The taste of the sherry was brilliant.
The price has gone up and the quality has gone down. Probably used a lot of second fill in this one, so it is not the sherry bomb it used to be compared to earlier batches.
