It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

I had trouble making this bottle last, at 59.7% is incredibly smooth, but don't get me wrong it still has a kick. I found I enjoyed it best with a small splash of water, definitely a strong sherry taste and some citrus on the tongue overall I'd say it met my expectation and was worth the $70 I paid for it.
I can't put my finger on it exactly but I recently bought a bottle of batch 44 and am a tad disappointed. it's probably me, but I felt I could detect a very faint 'sulphurous' hint, and found the strength of the alcohol drowned out some of the flavours and gave the nose too much intensity. when I added a tad of water it improved slightly, but not as much as I would have liked. as others seem to rave about this whisky, i'll put it down to my personal preferences, but wont be buying another bottle
The first Batch I had was 22. I have travelled through to here. I have arrived at 44. Standard is excellent. I love introducing my friends to these as they arrive. Never been disapointed. Master of Malts delivery is second to none. This is a dram for grown ups.
Wonderfull - gentle and soft with a bite. Love it.
Absolutely outstanding. #38 is very impressive. Clocking in at $94, its worth every penny.
