It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

I've tried Batches #50-53 so far and while #50 remains my favourite, this one is a solid representation of a great range of Aberlours. Batch #51 was good but slightly too sweet whereas Batch #52 had some balance issues (which were somewhat sorted with the addition of water and a 20 minute wait), but this batch is simply brilliant. Great without water and good with it (although a few drops will suffice) and the cask strength ABV of 59.7% will definitely be a crowd-pleaser! Purchased this at Changi Duty Free for SG$91 =D
has to be my favourite whiskey. Found a bottle in Morrisons about 5 years ago.. been thinking about it and telling my family and mates about it ever since. Christmas in a bottle.. will be buying a bottle this Christmas for sure. Perfection.
I've always been impressed with Aberlour's whiskys, and over the years I have come to find that their A'Bunadh range is one the best whiskies, not only in their range, but in the entire market. This batch is exceptional, and my only advice to you would be to add a little water to really open up the flavours. This whisky presents exceptional value for money, especially at the cast strength of 60%, adding water makes it go even further. 5* all round for this classic!
splash of water opens it up! very good !
I tried Aberlour 10 a number of years ago and was really disappointed. That lead me to avoid Aberlour going forward. Big mistake! This is an absolute must try for any whisky fan. Bold brute of a scotch. It's really interesting on how it evolves with the inclusion of water and you'll have a great time tasting the difference between one teaspoon right through to 7 teaspoons. Yes, that's right! It takes a lot of water. Excellent stuff. 5 stars as it's quite possibly the best value for money whisky you are going to find anywhere on the market. Slàinte Rob, Somerset
