It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

And extraordinarily rich and intense whisky, full and creamy with a big spicy sherry and a lovely deep, warming finish. Phenomenal quality and value for the price - I've had whiskies costing double or triple what this does which weren't nearly as good.
You will need to let this dram open up a little so pour some, leave it a while and try it neat. Then if you want a a drop of water. Such a great nose you could smell it for hours, and with it being cask strength you get that brilliant warmth in your chest. Very deep and intense flavour, with those great sherry notes. A must buy.
My new favourite! I met batch 46 at my son's wedding. I was hooked immediately. Found several bottles at the NSLC specialty store. At $100 a pop it is an expensive dram, but so far still worth the splash.!!
nice, strong spicy taste. delicious
I'm new to scotch tasting and found this one good but strong. would like to know what would be good to mix it with. I wanted to enjoy the flavor so I used assorted nuts between drinks to cut the strong taste. delicious. any suggestions welcome for the newcomer.
