It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.

I have had many single malts - Oban, Lagavulin, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, McCallum, Dahlwinie, Talisker. This is the best I've ever had - it is complex, smooth, flavorful, and decadent. If you don't have it, get it.
It's all here with this rather stunning whisky - the sherry casks, the spices, fruit, and a pleasing but slow burn from this cask strength beauty. Not for every day drinking, but perfect for these chilly December moonlit nights. Very special, and amazingly cheap for a Scotch of such quality. Buy Batch 47 without hesitation.
This is hands down the best single malt I have had and I have had a lot. Incredibly smooth and robust. Drink it neat.
I'm in big big trouble. This drink will be the end of me. Lovely, lovely dram with sultanas and spice and a sherry influence that is perfectly balanced. Not too sweet. It is a fantastic thing to drink.
I said I would review this earlier again so here goes , what a wonderful smooth whiskey this is but I need to add a fair bit of cold spring water or a splash and a cube of ice but what a metamorphic transformation happens when you do , this is a Christmas fireside whiskey , just don't keep the bottle too far to save getting up , I will buy some more of this soon as I'm just finishing the second bottle !! wonderful silky smooth just find your own level of water or even a good slash with a cube of ice and enjoy
