Another fantastic find from Forgotten Gems, this time the indie bottler got its hands on a batch of six-year-old single malt from Aberlour! There are 57 bottles in this small release found in the bottom of a refill hogshead from the much-adored distillery in Speyside.
Tarte Tatin, vanilla cream, and sweet, juicy barley, with subtly herbaceous, earthy zest beneath.
A warming start with cracked black peppercorns and oily walnuts, before big waves of oaken vanilla and cooked stone fruits.
Dried orange wheels and sweet apricot jam with warming cinnamon in tow.
