Independently bottled single malt from the Aberlour distillery, aged in a bourbon barrel. You may know Aberlour more for its well-sherried expression, so this is a glimpse into a different side of its whiskies. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2017 by Malts of Scotland with an outturn of only 183 bottles.
Caramelised dates and fried banana, with a hint of tobacco in the background.
Oily at first, before waves of sweet toffee and butterscotch appear.
