Aberlour is known for producing some of the finest sherry-cask-matured whiskies in Scotland, and this expression is no exception.
Over 18 years of careful aging created this single malt, first in American oak bourbon barrels then Spanish oak oloroso and Pedro Ximinéz sherry butts. The spirit developed a luxurious depth, where notes of raisins, figs, and cinnamon blend seamlessly with a long, honeyed finish. The rich mouthfeel and well-balanced spice make it a dream dram for those who love their whisky bold yet smooth.
Creamy, like melted vanilla ice-cream. Fruity and honeyed.
Fresh juicy apples and oranges before sherry kicks in with supple sultanas and vanilla.
Intricate with chocolate raisins and oily caramel notes.

Words cannot do this whisky justice. Aberlour doesn't get the love that other Speysides do, but they most certainly should.
My favorite single malt. Beautiful auburn color. Great sherry notes, and creaminess. Butterscotch, toffee, bitter orange. Long finish, with a hint of oakiness. Incredible complexity.
received Bottle of 18 year old Aberloir this Christmas as gift from my son. Now tasting it first time. Fine colour, plenty of flavors, not too smoky
Received a bottle of the 18 for Christmas this year. While I'm not a straight scotch drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall smooth taste and finish to this. Chilled is my go to for most whiskey or scotch but this was great as is out of the bottle.
I'm a massive fan of Aberlour and the 18 yo is the ultimate Aberlour and entirely unique. However, the only place I will actually buy this whisky is at the distillery itself as it goes for 53 pounds there. So, this is a whisky I buy and keep for special occasions, as I find 70 pounds far too expensive for an 18.
