    Aberlour 18 Year Old

Aberlour is known for producing some of the finest sherry-cask-matured whiskies in Scotland, and this expression is no exception.

Over 18 years of careful aging created this single malt, first in American oak bourbon barrels then Spanish oak oloroso and Pedro Ximinéz sherry butts. The spirit developed a luxurious depth, where notes of raisins, figs, and cinnamon blend seamlessly with a long, honeyed finish. The rich mouthfeel and well-balanced spice make it a dream dram for those who love their whisky bold yet smooth.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Creamy, like melted vanilla ice-cream. Fruity and honeyed.

    Palate

Fresh juicy apples and oranges before sherry kicks in with supple sultanas and vanilla.

    Finish

Intricate with chocolate raisins and oily caramel notes.

Best value among the sherried big guns

Full bodied, rich, creamy complex sherried dram with lovely long finish. Much better balanced than the Glendronach 15 Revival. Not as complex as a Macallan 18, but among the group of mature sherried Speyside/Highland whiskies, this one is my favorite for price to value ratio as it can still be found for under 80 USD. Love it! It's goes down so dangerously easy! I have huge stashes of my favorite whiskies, and this is my second largest stash following the Glendronach Revival.

    Enjoy it neat

The tasting notes are on point. This is a great single malt that I was fortunate enough to purchase at a discounted rate of $77. What a steal!
