This single malt from Aberlour was originally released as a Travel Retail exclusive as part of the Double Charred Selection. The whisky matured in a combo of American oak and oloroso sherry butts, all charred twice for enhanced depth and flavour.
Toasted oak, baked apples, raisins and toffee, with hints of cocoa powder and warming spice.
Sherried dried fruit, malty sweetness and char-driven notes of caramelised wood and soft clove.
Lingering oak warmth, nutmeg and a final flourish of dark fruit.
