I'd compare it to the Balvenie Doublewood 17 year old... which is still my favorite... but i'm buying another bottle of this one now”

At this price it can't be beat. A well balanced malt that more than holds it own with any. One of my favorites.
Rich, fruity, light, sweet - I've got a sweet tooth and I really enjoyed this. Easy sipping over ice, its difficult not to drink too much of this.

Reading the preceding remarks, I thought, such snobbery to describe this as a beginner’s whisky. I enjoy it a lot. My impression is: not a big nose, in fact that is a disappointment, but nevertheless there is the ever-present caramel/toffee, but also rose and cinnamon; I don't like personally the toffee, but the taste is perfectly nice, good and rich, yes a little sweet maybe, but a really nice rich whisky with complex flavours for a very reasonable price.
Enjoy a whiskey and always single malt but only your every day stuff . Had a bottle of this for Christmas . Amazing loved it . So so smooth lovely on the nose . Soft on the throat with no harsh aftertaste .
