The fantastic and always popular Aberlour 12 Year Old, matured in both traditional oak and sherry casks. This double cask maturation brings rich depth and balance to the crisp, citrus character at its core, with layers of honeyed fruit and sweet spice.
Soft and rounded with fruity notes of red apple.
A fine sherried character, fruity aromas balanced with rich chocolate.
Warm and lingering. Sweet and spicy.

The nose reveals ripe fruit and autumn leaves, moist pudding layered with jam, and … Leo Cohen’s voice, saying it’s Closing Time and you should have another. Mouth is tannic, blackcurrants and nutmeg.
This appears to have increased in price by £10 since I last bought it. It's a nice 12 year old Speyside but nothing exceptional. Well overpriced here.
I'm more of an Islay fan than Speyside but thought I'd try the Aberlour. Strikes me as a touch bitter without being interesting in its bitterness. Just had it last night over ice, and my last bottle was an Ardbeg 10, so may just be a transition issue.
This may be my all-time favorite. Very smooth and sweet. Excellent whisky, especially for the price! Keep it, Aberlour!
Great aroma mild mannered and a mildly sweet aftertaste. I enjoy this neat. Great value and excellent alternative to blends.
