I thought it quite a light weight whisky and drank half the bottle with that in mind. However I found that when one clears the palate with water between sips the subtle sweet tones really stand out making it a whiskey to recommend. Now very pleased with purchase.
I found this quite disappointing. It has a pleasent aftertaste with a hint of caramel and honey, but it's first taste is blunt and harsh without any revealing flavours.
Nice sweet smell on the nose unlike others ive had or smelt then 1st taste is sweet then you have a spicy taste after swirled in the mouth great for christmas time to keep warm
Having been supremely satisfied with the ten year old, I went shopping for another. However, there were none left at my usual outlet, so I picked up a bottle of the 12 year old instead. Wow, what a treat. This is now my new favourite single Malt.
