Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.

Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.
Three months after purchase the cork disintegrated. You cannot trust a brand that cannot make a cork.
I recently bought a bottle, from a supermarket whilst on offer, and I paid £21; the usual price was £32! So I thought I'd leave a message saying, I think that master of malt sometimes comes in for some stick, when it comes to price and this example shows it's not always a raw deal. Having been disappointed recently with a couple of bottles that I purchased, Laphroaig Select and Talisker Storm, I took a chance on this but was very surprised that it tasted so good.
Massive batch variation - I've had great and OK bottles but the most recent was very rough and tainted with very little flavour able to rise above the harsh spirit. 75 ml gave me a hangover! struggling to drink it and I love whisky!!!
For those who like fruity whisky this is a good choice, you can be found in airport dutty free, of which more I liked it (matter of preference)
