Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

A very good classic Speysider.Good value, good quality and well made. What more do you want at this price.A great allrounder.
A good, solid go-to single malt - smooth, fruity and quite rich, and excellent value. And it introduced me to the wider Arberlour range, for which I will be forever grateful.
This is a very pleasant whisky, and has been a staple for me in the past. I recommend it especially to whisky beginners. However it has become a little boring for me now. Doesn't quite have the character of BenRiach 12 which is a similar price. Nevertheless one can't argue it's good value for money.
For the price I paid I'm happy but its a bit safe. Nice dried fruit flavours but after a few drams you realise thats all folks. My second bottle into my journey of beginners whisky discovery after famous grouse(ok ok you have to start somewhere) and I think I'll be trying something like Laphroaig or Talisker next for some contrast and more adventurous flavours. ..tips welcome!
Wonderful Whisky for the price.
