Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.

Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.
When I first opened the bottle I got s trange whiff of something hard to explain. But once poured and drank neat it was very smooth and lovely, but also gave a slight after taste bite at the back of throat just a little which I liked. Enough so that it sort of eases you to take another drink. I found my self easilly having 3 or 4 drams and not even realising it. Very good whiskey for the price, I was lucky to purchase this on offer for £17.50 locally which was a real steal.
I love this because the taste is right, and the price is right for a whiskey of this grade
Very nice nose and palate, rich and quite complex, nuttiness, fruit, spice and toffee in abundance, as well as the banana taste....left with a slightly metallic tang which rather ruins it. Very smooth otherwise. Think I'll stick with others such as Glengoyne much nicer and longer finish than this.

Very light and smooth malt, notes of butter and toffee, soft finish. Despite i prefer stronger whisky, this is one of my more favourite speyside malts.
