Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

I purchased a hogshead in 1989 for millenium delivery of 30 cases. They are almost gone and I want to see if your regular 10 year old is as great as that fabulous product! Bruce Andersen
I had a bit of trouble with this dram to begin with. At first it seemed congested and rather uninteresting. After a while however, and with just the right amount of water, it became gloriously mouth-coating and the most wonderful spices started appearing. There are even hints of barrel char from the bourbon casks. At 40%, chill-filtration, caramel and at this price you can't really expect astonishment but at this is a great dram for the money. will definitely be missed in my cabinet! Highly recommended
How could one find fault with this? Absolutely delicious
Came back for more. Becoming a favourite.
For the money it has to be five star. Try it and see.
