Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

Generous nose, spiced fruits and vanilla. Sharp on the palate, honey, vanilla, nutmeg and lactone. Medium finish, nicely winding down with notes from the sherry and bourbon casking. Better than many a dram twice it's price!
Harsh. Silent but violent although great value for money!
Very rich and mature for 10 years old. What seems to be important - very good value for money. After trying second time - impressions the same.
This 10 Year old Aberlour is my favourite Scotch. As a young builder I noticed that one of our customers who was a retired pilot kept cases of the stuff in his kitchen. I bought a bottle shortly afterwards and have been hooked ever since. I cannot get on with Islay whiskies or some of the other expensive malts but just love Aberlour.
This is a very nice dram, has some harshness but in a good way, well balanced and flavour profile you would pick with a older bottling. Has a good rich nose and great flavour... Bit of a metallic tang on the finish but again not unpleasant. Highly impressive for its price point. Certainly a cut above most if the other supermarket malts and if on special it's a real bargin. Very good drop and great for this price point.... Top stuff...
