Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

This is my favorite scotch. But alas o cam't find it in the US southeast. I have one bottle that i have hidden away a bottle for years and i am saving it for a special occasion. So smooth without the after bite that is get from other scotch.
Candied peel nose and a nuttiness, is it almond or maybe toasted hazelnut? Plate is caramel with added spice, finish is almost Xmas cakey. Perhaps I am overly fond of this as it was my gateway into single malt whisky but I feel at this price it's incredible value.
Good , powerful
value and taste make it one of must have collection position. not like 12yrs but still amazing.
Water ruins this one but neat it is pretty good.
