Aberfeldy 27 Year Old 1991 (Master of Malt) 44.3%
A mighty single malt from Aberfeldy, distilled way back in 1991 and treated to a 27 year stay in hogshead casks. Those casks came into our care, with just 43 bottles-worth of this delightful whisky making its way into our Master of Malt independent bottling range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A touch of engine oil on the start, with wood paint, and mowed grass. Hints of Pear Drops, and banana chips, with a touch of charred oak.
Palate
Baked apple pastries, poached pears, and a drizzle of caramel. A touch of floral heather honey pokes through, with citrus peels and green herbs hiding in the depths.
Finish
Sugared shortbread, earthen vanilla pod, candied oranges, floral malt, tailing off with mellow oak.
