An Aberfeldy limited-edition Scotch whisky here, first matured in a combination of refill casks and then finished for six months in Cadillac Wine Casks. The barrels were sourced from a 40-hectare estate using sustainable agriculture in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, Gironde, just south of Bordeaux. The Cadillac AOC’s terroir produces sweet, aromatic wines that benefit from the oceanic climate, steep slopes, sunny, south-facing aspect, and lime-rich, gravelly soils.
From Stephanie Macleod, Aberfeldy malt master: Ripe peaches and nectarines, creamy toffee notes, and hints of zesty orange peel balanced with delicate floral aromas. Soft lingering cinnamon spice on the end.
