A classic Highland dram, Aberfeldy 12 Year Old single malt whisky is a creamy, sweet and gently smoky example of what the region produces. Bolstered by plenty of Aberfeldy's signature honeyed fruit character, this makes for a superbly laid-back sipper. The label comes with a rather handsome black and rose-gold colour palate to match the rich, malty, honeyed flavour profile.
Aberfeldy Golden Hot Toddy recipe:
- 50ml of Aberfeldy 12 Year Old
- 1/2 shot of local honey
- 1/2 shot of lemon juice
Combine the above ingredients in a mug and top up with hot water. Garnish with lemon, a cinnamon stick, and some star anise to spread the cheer of this cosy classic.
Creamy. Some sherried fruit with a trailing hint of smoke. Honeyed prunes, custard, and espresso beans.
Sweet, malty, with gentle peat and a mellow, silky texture. Vanilla fudge, peaches and cream, and subtle toasted oak follow.
Ginger, malt, nutty nougat, and maybe a little grapefruit zest.

This is a Single Malt that I can get comfortable with every evening at 5pm! This is a malt that does not need to be eased into, but yet has those special smooth notes of much more expensive single malts. A fantastic malt to introduce to any other scotch drinker without the fear embarrassment!
For beginners only? Please!! Who do some of these whisky snobs bother us with their own personal taste dressed up as education. This is a fine malt and its worth depends entirely on your personal preference

This is NOT rotgut........I also find most reviews of 12 year old whiskeys to be too finicky. Also, if you want good stuff like this, stay away from duty free and get to a supermarket of the country you're visiting. They're bound to have what duty free sells and they'll have it for less. I paid 24 euros for my 12 yr old Aberfeldy in Italy. Duty free had it for 35. What do you think I'D pay?? I use to get 12yr old Jameson from a bartender in Italy for $17 a bottle.....you just have to look.... By the way, this is DAMN good single malt......gotta stop typing before the buzz kicks in....bottoms up!!!
pleasant at first - smooth and creamy - but, too sickly sweet to last. Like fast food or cake - nice for a quick refreshment, but too much leaves you wishing you'd had less.
